Lifeguard
This is a temporary part-time position intended to cover one of our regular staff member’s shifts while they take a leave of absence. This position would also be eligible to serve as a substitute for hours outside the ones listed above. It’s possible that this could turn into a permanent part-time position in March of 2024.
Position Description. We are a single guard pool with an emphasis on community building and emergency prevention. We are looking for someone with a passion for aquatics who is able to work cooperatively as part of a team while enforcing safe aquatic practices. If you love early mornings, enjoy connecting with people, and can effectively balance customer service with emergency prevention, we would like to hear from you.
- Starting hourly wage: $18-19/hr DOE
- Temporary Part-Time Position: Monday to Friday from 5:30-8:30am
- The person in this position must be at least 16 years old and able to acquire a Lifeguard certificate. If you aren’t certified but seem like a good fit for the role, the NECC will pay for your training.
Facility Attendant
Position Description. We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Facility Attendant. The person in this position will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our community center. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a difference in their community, enjoys physical movement in their work, and prefers to work independently.
This is a temporary part-time position intended to cover one of our regular staff member’s shifts while they take a leave of absence. It’s possible that this could turn into a permanent position, but it is not guaranteed.
- Hourly wage: $16 per hour.
- Part-Time: Approximately 15 hours a week. Flexible schedule to be discussed and collaboratively set with supervisors depending on the needs of the facility. Will likely require early mornings or late evenings, and/or weekends.

Morning Group Fitness and Movement Instructor
Position Description. Are you passionate about well-being, equity, and making a positive impact in your community through fitness and movement? We’re looking for someone to help our community start their day on the right foot, with a morning fitness and movement class led by you!
Fitness and Movement Instructors support individual well-being and strengthen communities at NECC by creating safe, inspiring, and inclusive group exercise classes. They may facilitate both in-person and online classes as assigned.
- Starting hourly wage: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour, starting salary. Compensation is dependent upon certification and experience.
- Part-time instruction: Instructors are compensated per class and participation in staff training.
- The person in this position must be at least 18 years old and have a Nationally accredited fitness certification.

Swim Instructor

Position Description. Our instructors teach swimming skills and water safety to children in a non-competitive, recreational program using the Red Cross Learn to Swim curriculum. We are looking for someone with a passion for aquatics who is able to work cooperatively as part of a team, attentive and engaged with their students, and able to incorporate diverse and fun activities into effective lessons.
