Imagine a serene yoga session complemented by the playful presence of free-roaming, adoptable kittens from Multnomah County Animal Services Foster Kitten Program.
Led by certified yoga instructor, Tina Oliva, this is an opportunity to interact with kittens seeking forever homes. This special class designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all skill levels. Please note, our facility is not ADA accessible. To enter the building, there are 6 stairs at 7″ rise.
Once everyone is set up with their mats, the foster parent will release the kittens. It will be an informal class—during downward facing dog, for example, someone might take a mouse toy that’s near their mat and toss it across the room for a kitten to chase. Volunteers will be on hand to ensure the safety and needs of the kittens.
If you meet the kitten of your dreams, the volunteers will be available to do a pre-adoption interview with you and provide you with a link to adopt.
Spaces are limited, and pre-registration is required. Please register below or contact our Front Desk for assistance.
The NECC class costs $15/person. Please consider making an additional donation to Friends of the Shelter on behalf of the kitten foster program. 100% of donations go to the kitten foster program. To donate, Venmo @Kim-Swaney-1
