Join us for spring break camp at NECC!
We are excited to offer a fun and engaging spring break day camp for your children. Our camp will run from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
During the week, youth can expect to participate in a variety of activities including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures to Grant Park. At the end of the day children will have the chance to bust swim in our indoor warm water pool. Our goal is to provide a safe and stimulating environment where children can have fun and make new friends!
We ask that all campers bring a packed lunch and snack and wear comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for a range of activities. A water bottle is also recommended.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at youth@necommunitycenter.org. We look forward to a fantastic spring break with your child!

ACCOMMODATIONS: To inquire about special accommodations, please reach out to the Youth Enrichment Coordinator, Ava Shannon, at youth@necommunitycenter.org. We are prepared to care for neurodivergent children and work with families to meet children’s specific needs. Please note that our program allows kids to have extended periods of free time, which can be challenging for children who succeed with more structure or more individualized guidance and redirection. If you would like to discuss if this would be the right fit for your child, please reach out to the program coordinator.
POOL:
The NECC has provided children and adults safe opportunities to use the pool throughout the pandemic. Children will have monitored open swim time in our pool during all camps.
If you would like your child to have the opportunity to swim, please send your child with a swimsuit, towel, and any extra bathroom supplies you think your child will need. Campers will use the universal locker room with private, individual changing stalls. A camp counselor will be in the pool with the children at all times, and our head lifeguard will perform a daily skill check to use the deep end. Children who do not wish to swim will be able to play with camp counselors in our Child Watch room.
COVID PROTOCOLS:
If a camper or youth staff member tests positive for Covid-19, the NECC will notify all registered families. The NECC will not hesitate to cancel camp due to Covid-19 related precautions.
The NECC has adopted these guidelines for managing COVID-19 cases and exposures. They take a more conservative approach than those recommended by the CDC and Portland Public Schools.
Refund Policy:
- In order to receive a refund or credit to your NECC account, you must withdraw your child from camp at least 48 hours prior to the day of care. This will allow us to safely offer spaces to other children.
- If you withdraw your child from camp fewer than 48 hours prior, we will not be able to issue a refund or credit. Exceptions include if your child is feeling ill or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, as kids are not allowed to attend camp if they are sick.
If you have any further questions about the program or need to discuss accommodations for your child, please reach out to our Youth Enrichment Coordinator, Ava Shannon youth@necommunitycenter.org
