Fitness + Movement FAQ
We provide a variety of classes with a range of low to high-impact exercise.
Our Yoga and Tai Chi classes are great in-person and virtual classes for those new to group exercise.
If you’re interested in utilizing the workout equipment at NECC, members can join our Equipment Orientation Fridays at 10 am.
Older people are welcome in, and attend all of our classes!
We also offer classes that are more geared towards elders, including Active Older Adult (AOA) Fitness, Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance, and QiGong.

Our fitness and movement classes are limited to those over the age of 13. All are welcome, and accommodations will be provided to you regardless of age.
Yes! Talk with your instructor before class and they can provide you with accommodations.
MPR stands for multi-purpose room. Our multi-purpose rooms are upstairs. You’re welcome to use this room to workout on your own when classes are not taking place.
Yes, all group fitness + movement classes listed on the fitness and movement schedule are included in a membership, unless otherwise noted.
Classes are also available with a drop-in day fee of $10 for adults (ages 13+), and $5 for youth.
We suggest you sign up for classes ahead of time through the MindBody site. This will allow us to contact you in case a class gets canceled. Click here to sign up for Fitness + Movement classes at NECC.
Please wear closed-toed shoes to work out/play sports in our facility.
Other than that, we suggest you wear whatever you feel comfortable moving in! There are no special requirements for the gymnasium.
