Aquatic Fitness
If a swimmer does not show up to their scheduled swim time, or cancels with less than 2 hour’s notice, they will be charged a no-show fee of $5 per swim slot missed.
Water Workout
An aerobics class in the shallow water designed to get heart rates up, improve flexibility & core strength, and have fun. Space is limited to encourage physical distancing. Participants utilize buoys, free weights, noodles, and sometimes kick boards and iron weights (all provided by the NECC).
(Unlimited) – M-F from 8:45-9:30am. This class does not have a limit on the number of swimmers who can attend, and no preregistration is required.
(Limited) – M/W/F from 9:35-10:20am, T/Th from 10:05-11:05am, and Sat from 8:15-9am. The Limited class is meant for participants seeking greater physical distancing for health-related reasons. Participants must sign up in advance either through NECC’s registration system, Mind Body (directions here), or by contacting the Front Desk at 503-284-3377.
Core Power
(Unlimited) – T/Th from 9:30-10am. Utilizes the shallow and deep ends of the pool to improve core strength and flexibility, focusing on abdominal and back muscles. This class does not have a limit on the number of swimmers who can attend, and no preregistration is required.
Deep Water
(Limited) – Saturdays from 8:15-9:00a. A low-impact workout held in neck-deep water, typically in the deep end of the pool with a flotation device (some classes utilize the shallow end for stretching). NECC provides noodles, hand buoys, and optional free weights. This class is Limited to 15 participants. Participants must sign up in advance either through NECC’s registration system, Mind Body (directions here), or by contacting the Front Desk at 503-284-3377.
