ART CLASSES: 5-8 YEARS OLD
Fall 2: Air Dry Clay Sculpting
Students will create their own unique sculptures and creations using air dry clay! We will learn about a variety of handbuilding techniques, and bring our work to life with paint. No previous art experience is necessary.
FALL 2 DATES: October 28 to December 9 – 6 classes (no class on Thanksgiving week 11/25)

Winter Session: Playing with Paints
Students will learn a variety of painting techniques to make their own creative works of art. We will work with materials such as watercolors, tempera paints, and more! All materials will be provided, and no previous art experience is necessary.

Spring 1: Material Exploration!
Students will have the opportunity to try out multiple different art materials. Each week we will focus on a different material, and students will make a unique work of art in that week’s material. We will learn about painting with watercolors, oil and chalk pastels, drawing with colored pencils, sculpting with air-dry clay, and more! All materials will be provided, and no previous art experience is necessary.

Fall 2: Botanical Drawing
Students will focus on drawing lifelike plants. We will look at a variety of plants and scientific illustrations throughout the course to practice various drawing techniques. Materials include graphite pencils, colored pencils, and watercolors. No previous art experience is necessary.

Students will learn about drawing three dimensionally through one-point and two-point perspective. We will cover how to make objects look like they’re vanishing in the distance, and how to realistically draw cities. All materials will be provided, and no previous art experience is necessary.

Students will learn all about making artwork inspired by nature and the beautiful landscapes that surround us. We will cover both drawing and painting techniques. All materials will be provided, and no previous art experience is necessary.

DANCE CLASSES WITH MARLON
Marlon is our long-time dance teacher and a former professional dancer. He is an experienced instructor who is passionate about working with children and is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment. This class is very low-stakes and does not have a competitive nature. We look forward to seeing everyone on the dance floor!
Pop & Hip-Hop Dance Classes
Pop & Hip Hop Dance with Marlon is the perfect class for kids who love to dance to their favorite music! This high-energy class focuses on fun, while teaching kids exciting dance routines to today’s top pop and hip hop hits (clean versions!). Each week, Marlon will break down the moves step by step, helping kids build confidence, coordination, and rhythm, all while dancing to the songs they know and love.
By the end of the session, your child will have learned a full dance routine, which they’ll perform in a casual showcase for friends and family on the last day of class. Plus, on that final day, participants can bring friends and family to watch the performance.
Winter Session
8 to 12 years old
DATES: December 5 to February 27 – 11 classes (no class 12/26 & 1/2 due to Winter Break)
PERFORMANCE: February 27 in the Gymnasium. Kids will rehearse upstairs with Marlon for about 30 minutes and then come down to perform at 4:30.

WeBreak Hip-Hop Dance Company
We’ve partnered with WeBreak Hip-Hop Dance Company to offer youth breakdancing classes for ages 3–12.
