Red Cross Lifeguard r.24 Course – Blended Learning
Red Cross Lifeguard Blended Learning class provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for 2 years
This course requires the completion of an online portion prior to the first scheduled day. If the online portion is not completed by the start of the first day you will not be able to continue the course.

Instructor: Brent Wong-Reid
Prerequisites: Must be at least 15 years old; Swim 300 yards continuously; Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs; Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds by starting in the water, swimming 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, exit the water without using steps or a ladder.

Red Cross Babysitter’s Training
This course teaches you what you need to know and what every parent wants in a safe and responsible babysitter! This course can help students care for children and infants, be a good leader and role model, make good decisions and solve problems, handle emergencies (such as injuries, illnesses, and household accidents) and much more. Participants will need to bring a pencil and paper to class.
Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR & AED: Blended Learning Class
This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 2 hours 5 minutes to complete the online portion. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
Red Cross Lifeguard Review Course
Lifeguarding review classes are designed to help you update your skills while also extending your certification for another two years. To register, participants will be asked to show a printed copy of their valid (or within 30 days of expiring) ARC lifeguard card and the currently Red Cross Lifeguard manual either on their mobile device or as a textbook on the first day of class. Individuals who possess a Red Cross Shallow Water Lifeguarding certification will not be eligible to enroll. All class sessions are required, no exceptions and no make-ups will be offered.
