SEE BELOW FOR UPDATES ON OUR FACILITY, CLASS AND PARKING MODIFICATIONS FOR THURSDAY & FRIDAY, JANUARY 22 & 23.

[Update on January 23, 2015] – The NECC has been presented with a rare opportunity. Because of the beautiful Palladian windows and iconic nature of our gymnasium, NECC has been offered the opportunity to serve as one location for a multi-city commercial shoot featuring one of our local professional athletes. Therefore, we will have a very modified facility and class schedule on Thursday and Friday, January 22 & 23. Please see the calender to the right for the most up-to-date list of scheduled classes.

The following changes are also in effect. On Thursday, January 22, Parking in the NECC lot will be severely limited, and the gymnasium and running track will be closed.

On Friday, January 23, there will be no parking available in the NECC lot. The gymnasium, upstairs multi-purpose rooms, Cardio room, running track and Child Watch will be closed.

Throughout this period, aquatics classes and activities will be held as regularly scheduled.

If you have specific questions about our schedule during this time, please contact the NECC Front Desk at 503-284-3377.

**INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY (updated 1/5/14) ** See Inclement Weather Information

It’s the NECC’s policy to keep the facility open during all scheduled hours, whenever possible. The Acting Building Supervisor retains the discretion to close the facility at any time for the safety of the Members, Guests, and Staff.

The NECC follows the Portland Public Schools’ closure schedule for all classes and activities. If PPS is closed, NECC classes and activities are cancelled for that day. In the event that PPS announces a late start or closure after any NECC morning classes have started, those classes will be completed; all other NECC classes and activities for the day will be cancelled. If classes and activities are cancelled due to inclement weather, we will strive to keep the NECC facility open for drop-in use. You can check the Portland Public Schools website for information about late opening or closures.

If inclement weather occurs on the weekend, or if you have questions about whether the facility is open and/or classes and activities are occurring, please contact the NECC facility at 503-284-3377, or check the NECC website at www.necommunitycenter.org.
