Prenatal Yoga Workshop
Dates: Ongoing, May 3 – June 7
When: Class is 1x/week, Sundays 9am yoga begins, 10:30am swim begins.
Fees: $150 for 6-week workshop
Ages: We are looking for folks in their 2 trimester, 13-27
weeks. A support person is welcome to attend (pay and
register separately) but is not required to participate.

This prenatal yoga workshop is designed to support the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, focusing on building strength, improving flexibility, easing common discomforts, and connecting with your adjusting body and baby. This 6-week workshop will include breath work, meditation and grounding exercises, yoga poses supportive of pregnancy, as well as group sharing based on the week’s theme. Folks leave each class with handouts of yoga work, Ayurvedic meal recipes and herbal tea formulas to continue a practice at home. After each class there is an option for the participants to swim in our warm water pool to enjoy the benefits of weightlessness while building community connection with the cohort. The 75 minute yoga session starting at 9am is followed by optional swimming at 10:30. This workshop is best suited for those in their second trimester. Attendees must have clearance from their medical provider to participate. The NECC does not provide childcare, and the workshop is for prenatal individuals only.

Postnatal Yoga Workshop
Dates: Ongoing, May 3 – June 7
When: Class is 1x/week, Sundays 10:45am-12pm
Fees: $125 for 6-week workshop
Ages: We are looking for people at least 4-months postpartum

This postnatal yoga workshop is designed to support the physical and emotional changes post pregnancy, focusing on somatic release, rebuilding strength, improving posture, alleviating tension from repetitive movements like nursing and carrying baby, and connecting with your adjusting body. This 6-week workshop will include breath work, meditation and grounding exercises, yoga poses supportive of the neck, shoulders, back and hips, pelvic floor and core engagement, as well as group sharing based on the week’s theme. Folks leave each class with handouts of exercises to continue a practice at home. This workshop is best suited for those at least 4 months postpartum. Attendees must have clearance from their medical provider to participate. The NECC does not provide childcare, and the workshop is for postpartum individuals only.

Flamenco Dance with Marlon Workshop
Dates: April 3 – May 8
When: Class is 1x/week, Fridays 6-7pm.
Fees: $90 for Members | $180 for Non-Members
Ages: 13+
Instructor: Marlon
Join Marlon, a former member of El Ballet Español de Cuba, in this fun and culture rich dive into Flamenco dancing. This 6 week program will review and celebrate the cultural foundations of flamenco dance including learning proper posture, footwork, arm movements, and hand clapping (palmas). This workshop series begins reviewing basic sequencing, and will introduce and practice more advanced choreography. Dress code is casual and flamenco shoes are not required. While this class has more advanced choreography than our previous Intro to Flamenco Workshop, it is not a prerequisite.

Muay Thai Workshop
Dates: Ongoing on Sundays
When: Class is 1x/week, Sundays 10-11 am
Fees: $15/class Members | $25/class Non-Members
Ages: 16+, under 16 may join if a guardian is taking the class with them, please call to book for under 16 years old

Come learn ‘The Art of 8 Limbs’ – Muay Thai is an inclusive environment. Muay Thai is a martial art that utilizes kicks, punches, knees & elbows along with clinch (or standing grappling) With a heavy focus on fundamentals, we will work on developing our footwork & familiarizing ourselves with the techniques available at every range & their proper application. No matter your age or ability level, Muay Thai is a challenging full-body workout, a practical means of self-defense and rich with cultural history. Along with establishing the inaugural ongoing ‘Thai Boxing Fundamentals’ program at PCC he has coached at some of the largest combat sports gyms in Portland for over a decade. He continues to train regularly under his mentors & can’t wait to sharing his love of Muay Thai with you!

Beginning Pickleball Workshops

We will cover etiquette and safety, shots and strategy, rules and scoring, and then we’ll play real games to integrate our new skills. By the end of the session, you’ll have a foundation of knowledge to play pickleball anywhere as a 2.0 ranked player!
This is an energetic class with drills for the most important pickleball shots, a thorough review of key rules, the unique pickleball scoring system, and actual gameplay.
This class is the beginning of your pickleball journey that could lead to years of fun, exercise, and making new friends. This clinic is suitable for brand new players, and those who have taken a beginner class already are welcome to repeat the session.
Pickleball Skills & Drills – Drives, Drops, and Dinks The Essential Shots

We will discuss and practice these core pickleball shots and place them into a strategic context, with a particular emphasis on the “Third Shot Drive, Fifth Shot Drop” strategy that is currently the rage on the PPA Tour. We will also practice Push Dinks, a more aggressive way to play at the net.
This session is suited for those who have been playing pickleball for at least a few months or longer, and who are rated 2.5+.
TRX Small Group Training
Dates: Ongoing on Mondays and Wednesdays
When: Class is 2x/week, Mondays & Wednesdays at 7am
Per Class Cost: $20 Members | $35 Non-Members
Trainer: Simar Tate
TRX (Total Resistance Exercises) is piece of equipment that uses suspension and gravity to build full body strength focusing on the core, and increasing flexibility and mobility in the joints. An excellent workout to gain balance and agility. It is extremely scalable and accommodating to fit all fitness levels. Work with a personal trainer in a small group setting for the benefit of individualized instruction and the motivation of having other’s encouragement.
Sign up required 24hrs prior to class. A minimum of 1 person must be enrolled each day for the class to be held.
