Water Quality at the NECC
In early June 2016, we collected water samples from our Child Watch sink and upstairs bathroom (that supply line also feeds the water fountain). Those samples were tested by the Portland Water Bureau. We recently received the results, and we are pleased to share the good news.
The levels of primary contaminants (lead and copper) in both samples were well below the EPA standard. Similarly, the levels of secondary contaminants in both samples were well below the EPA standard. Those results are posted below. For those who would like to continue to use the filtered water in the MPR C (upstairs kitchen), the filtered water spout will remain. Further, to better serve our Members and the community, we are working toward replacing our drinking fountains with newer models that provide filtered water and bottle filling options.
