HIIT Workout with Heather
An interval training workout from Heather for those of us, during this trying time, that need to keep moving and fit but are stuck at home!
Welcome to this independent workout! I am giving you the exercises and modifications and you will self lead. Full workout outlined below!
Tabata timer: https://fitlb.com/tabata-timer OR use Spotify and search for Tabata, there will be a playlist of songs that have :20 work :10 rest for 8 rounds total.
Tabata: 20work/:10rest x8 = 1 round
Round 1: Jump Squats (Modifications: Squat lift on to balls of feet OR Squat thruster with some weight of your choosing) Twisting Mountain Climber (Modification: Execute slowly OR Elevate your plank on a secure surface)
Round 2: Jump Jacks (Modification: Arma reach overhead and one leg goes out to the side alternating) Single Leg Curtsy Kick (One leg at a time! You should end up having done R and L side twice through)
Round 3: Goofy Jack (Modification: No hopping, reach arms up and draw one knee to elbow, keep alternating!) Skater (Modification: No hopping, tap it out)
Round 4: Split Lunges (Modification: Alternating lunge either stepping back or forward) Plank Shoulder Taps (Modification: Elevate to a secure surface!)
