We know that the past year has been incredibly challenging for many children, and our dedicated staff is looking forward to providing an engaging, safe, and inclusive space for children – physically, socially, and emotionally. Our summer staff have all completed child-development related trainings, including topics such as: CPR and First Aid, trauma-informed care, neurodiversity, and working with children who experience disabilities. Our diverse staff is also prepared to have age-appropriate conversations and create learning opportunities around current community issues, such as persons who are houseless, diversity and equity, differences and empathy.
As a licensed emergency child care provider since early 2020, the NECC is well-versed in following all Oregon Health Authority (OHA) guidelines for summer camps/childcare related to COVID-19 health and sanitation measures. In addition to other health and safety protocols, campers will only interact with other members of their cohort (siblings must be in the same cohort), and everyone is required to wear masks.
Summer camps include all-day themed camps with Spark Arts Center for ages 6-11, Bike Camps for ages 8-12; and half-day Mini Camps for ages 5-7. Additional camps will be added soon.
Refund Policy – Please review our refund policy as it has changed. Each week of camp has a non-refundable cancellation fee of $25. A full refund (less the $25 cancellation fee) is only available if the participant withdraws at least two weeks prior to the start of camp. If the participant withdraws between 5-13 days prior to camp, NECC will provide a 50% refund or account credit. We are unable to provide a refund or account credit if the participant withdraws fewer than 5 days prior to the start of camp.
