Art Around the World
July 26 through July 30, 2010 In this one week calss, students explore two cultures and art forms from around the world. using hands-on instruction and mixed media, students help one another create personally meaningful art objects to take home. We will make Mexican sun faces of clay when we "visit" Mexico, paint African cave paintings when we "visit" Africa, and Indian mandalas when we "visit" India. Our projects allow for sharing, self reflection and appreciation for diverse peoples, art forms and cultures worldwide. And we have fun too!
