The Northeast Community Center offers programs year round for all ages! We have something for everyone.

Registration Policies:

Registration is required for all listed activities.
Our classes must meet minimum and maximum enrollment standards. Classes may fill quickly or classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If you have a registered for a class that must be cancelled, you will be contacted and entitled to a prorated or full credit.
Refunds will be given if request is received prior to 3 days before the start of the activity.

Youth Classes:

All of the following Youth Classes follow a 8 Week Session Schedule, unless otherwise specified. Each class takes the summer off, but we offer a large variety of Summer Camps! Each participant must be registered prior to the start of the class.

Fast Track Camp

Designed to complement Fast Track swim lessons (a separately registered activity). Play in our gym, run at the park, and do fun activities in our craft area before you head in to your swim lesson!

June 17-20 & June 24-27
1:00 – 4:00 pm (6-13 years)
Member: $96.00 Non-member: $116.00

Girls & Boys Basketball League

This 10-week program is both a skill building league [Grades K-3] and skilled league [Grades 4 & up] designed to enhance self-esteem with emphasis on fair play and equal playing time. The league runs early January through the second week of March. Games are played on Saturday or Sunday, with one hour practice each week.

This program is currently not being offered. Look back in Fall 2013 for information on our next offering or Clinics!

GirlStrength- Portland Police Bureau

Girl Strength is for girls 10-12 years old. It is a free self-defense class run by the Portland Police Dept. with a focus on both non-physical strategies and physical skills. It is as much about empowerment as about self-defense.Topics covered in the camp are awareness and assertiveness to be safe, the building of confidence, and demystifying fear around safety. It is a class about having fun and enjoy being a girl! Taught by the Portland Police Department.

Indoor Soccer

Want to sharpen your skills, get some good exercise, and have fun in a low-key environment? Activities will center on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and teamwork. Class time will be divided between drills for skills and scrimmaging. Perfect for the beginner or more advanced player looking for a great workout!

We offer two different classes for Indoor Soccer:
Ages 6-8 years
Ages 9-12 years

Yoga Class for Kids

Join Cat after school on Thursdays to stretch, move, breathe, and have fun. Benefits include balance, motor skill development, confidence and lots of fun!

Youth Volleyball

Spike your interest as you learn to dig. Learn the basic skills, and improve your game. Class will focus on the basics of volleyball with drills and practice games.

Family Open Gym

Join us after school, rain or shine, and play with your family! Kids and their families can practice basketball with the hoops lowered, and use the space for sports practice or family fun.

Free to members.
Guests can pay a drop-in fee.

Teen Classes:

Fitness Training

All levels welcome into our Circuit Training Class!

By utilizing the resistance machines in this full body workout, you’ll gain strength, lean muscle mass, and keep your metabolism revved up. Teen Circuit Training has been combined with the Adult Circuit Class. (30 minute equipment orientation is a prerequisite for this class)

Tues/Thurs 5:30 – 6:30 pm

This class is included in membership fees. Guests are welcome to pay the drop-in fee to participate!
