Defining Family Memberships

Family is to be defined as:

  • Two Adults and children up to 20 years old living in the same household
    OR
    Two Adults and children up to 23 years old if enrolled in full time college or University

    AND:
  • Other persons who are legally dependent and living in the same house
    BUT
    Excluding adults NOT living in the same house


Grandparent(s)/Grandchildren Family is to be defined as:

  • Grandparent(s) under the age of 65 will be charged at the current one or two adults and children family rate
  • Grandparent(s) 65 and older will be charges as:
    one senior grandparent and grandchildren at $55/month
    OR
    two senior grandparents and grandchildren at $68/month

    These fees are 15% less than the fee for a one/two adult and children membership, mirroring the current difference between a single adult and single senior membership rates.

Membership Policies

Cancellation Policy

To facilitate cancellation of membership, all requests must be in writing and membership card(s) returned.  Written notice must be received 30 days prior to cancellation date in order to stop the payment process for the following month.

Currently we do not charge a cancellation fee.



Membership On-Hold Policy

A membership may be placed on hold for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months, depending on member's eligibility.

A member can only exercise this option once per year.

This preserves the member's joining fee investment, elimintes required payment of member dues and reserves their place as a NECC member.

To facilitate the on-hold process, a written application must be received 30 days prior to the start of the on-hold date in order to freeze the payment process for the following month.



Guest Policy

We welcome all residents of Portland, members’ friends and family, and any visitor of the area to use our facility on a one-time use/free Guest Pass.   A guest is welcome to return to the NECC after the initial visit, but a ten dollar ($10) day pass fee will be applied.
 
As a guest of the NECC, one must check in with the Front Desk staff and will need to fill out an application and read/sign our liability release PRIOR to using the facility.  Identification is required to use the facility and failure to follow the NECC procedures may result in the refusal of use of the Northeast Community Center.
 
Each primary membership account with the NECC is allowed five (5) guess passes to be used within one calendar year.  CLARIFICATION: One membership account includes ALL members, both the primary member and the secondary/dependent members.  The 5 guess passes can be used by any one of the members on the account, but the entire account receives only 5 within the calendar year.
