In 2005, a dedicated group of neighbors had a dream – to create a center of fitness, wellness and connection: where parents and families were active and healthy; where children could learn to swim and play in a safe and supportive environment; where older adults were vital and inspired; and where people of all ages could run, stretch, dance, learn, and laugh. And we are succeeding. Since 2005, the Northeast Community Center has been supporting our neighbors and strengthening the bonds that create community.

As an independent non-profit organization, we receive support from while also giving back to our community and neighbors. In 2014, we provided scholarships and financial assistance to more than 100 children, adults and families who would otherwise be unable to participate in organized health and wellness activities.

Your support helps us reach out and give back in other ways: we make our unique historic facility available for community programs such as the Red Cross certified Babysitter’s Training, CPR and First Aid classes, and we work with other non-profit organizations such as the Hollywood Senior Center, Hollywood Farmer’s Market, Oregon Food Bank, Hollywood Boosters, Dress for Success, and Albertina Kerr to support community causes.

We need the active participation and financial support of NECC Members and the community to continue to build the neighbor-to-neighbor network that is at the heart of the NECC. You can make your gift online, either a one-time or recurring donation, or by check. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, and our TIN is #20-2154935.

In addition to making a financial contribution, there are many ways to get involved in your community through the NECC! There are opportunities to donate your time and energy in a meaningful way, or to contribute supplies and equipment with in-kind donations. The NECC holds an annual “spruce-up-the-space” day, a Fine Art & Cool Craft Show & Sale, a Fireworks sale, supports a group marching in the Junior Rose Festival Parade, hosts a Fall Festival/Halloween event, and contributes to numerous community events throughout the year.

We are always seeking energetic and engaged volunteers to help us connect with others in our community.
